How to Batch Import from Runcline to Stryd Power Center (and fix a couple of Training Peaks files)

How to Batch Import from Runcline to Stryd Power Center (and fix a couple of Training Peaks files)

This took way longer than needed, but hey, I got it done. First of all, Runcline App does not auto-export to Stryd so I had to get all those from my emails and wonder of wonders, Stryd allows a batch import. Check that out!

Then I fixed a couple of overlapping files in Training Peaks that were pushed by Stryd which turned out to be a real bear. Prepare for the frustration. Later I’ll show you how to upload all the Runcline files into their associated Training Peaks files.

How-to: Custom Cycling Workout in Zwift?

How-to: Custom Cycling Workout in Zwift?

Do you need to create your own custom cycling workout in Zwift? Let’s try it together. It’s my first time too. I had shoulder surgery so need to cut my watts down to a nice steady hour at 145 watts. I don’t know what that is for my w/kg or FTP% but it turned out to be just into Zone 2. Nice. Don’t miss my little bit of outtakes at the end.

How-to Do a Custom Workout in Zwift Cycling (redo)

How-to Do a Custom Workout in Zwift Cycling (redo)

Yesterday I did a custom cycling workout in Zwift. I made one mistake. I put my headshot insert in the corner where the workout file went. Well Drat. So I did a new workout today and here you can watch these simple instructions for how to do it yourself. Again, no training principles, just a good solid hour off Zone 3 with a warmup and cooldown. Hang tight and I’ll show you how to build your own workout to help you achieve your training goals.

12-3-30-Treadmill Survey Request

12-3-30-Treadmill Survey Request

In 2014 I published “Summit Success: Training for Hiking, Mountaineering, and Peak Bagging” based on 8 years of my own training, with the generous input of several hundred of my most loyal social media followers. The Incline Treadmill Workouts were the most favorably received, and the best logistical choice for my readers, so in 2018 I created “Rucking Simple Treadmill Training Program” an introductory manual to building your own Weighted Backpack Incline Treadmill Workouts. These two books have been my perennial best-selling books since they were each released.

I guess I’m not that up on social media viral sensations, especially on TikTok, so I had to receive a Google News story to point out that there was something going on right this very minute with an incline treadmill workout. Being a pioneer in the field I thought I would compare it to my own workouts as published in the two books listed above, and while the pace is a bit faster than I would recommend, especially to a brand new just-off-the-couch client who primarily wanted to burn fat, it seemed to fit in right at Week Four of my “Adjustment Cycle” program from Summit Success.

With all that in mind, I want to know what you want to know. I created this brief survey to allow me to put together my thoughts into a cohesive plan moving forward to allow me to continue my role as a pioneer in incline treadmill training. Please fill out this survey and let me know how you feel about the “12-3-30” sensation and what we can do to work together using similar parameters and techniques to achieve the goals you need to.

Zwift Running – Import from Stryd to Training Peaks and Merge with Zwift

Zwift Running - Import from Stryd to Training Peaks and Merge with Zwift

If you want to use Watts to calculate your stats, and accurately represent or track your elevation gain from being an Incline Treadmill Trainer, this is the video for you. I’ll show you how to export from Stryd, strip the location (if present) so that it won’t overwrite the Zwift location track, and merge it so that your Training Peaks account will show your watts and elevation change, as well as calculate your fatigue and fitness levels based on watts as they correlate to your heart rate, the default method to calculate your stats.

If you want to read more, including the itemized list of how-to, check it out here https://inclinetreadmilltrainer.com/zwiftrunning/import-stryd-and-merge-with-zwift-in-training-peaks/

Riding Inside on my Wahoo Kickr Core

Riding Inside on my Wahoo Kickr Core

Just a brief view of riding inside on my Fuji attached to my Wahoo Kickr Core while watching Apple TV and Zwifting on my iPad. Fun times in this crazy period where most of our cycling fitness will come from riding inside. You with me here?
