Just outside of Las Vegas is the Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area. Last year about this same time I ran partway up Turtlehead Peak from the Calico Tanks trail at the Sandstone Quarry parking lot, but ran out of time and got lost a time or two too many.
This time there are new trail markers which made it a lot easier, plus I’d uploaded a GPX from another runner on Strava to my Suunto for slightly better route-finding. After this run I felt pretty good considering my current injuries which is inspiring looking forward to 2021.
Here I spend a few minutes on the trail, then a few minutes digging through the numbers to help show you some ideas for how you could do the same analysis for your workouts.
